John Knighton
John Knighton has over 20 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry working in Legal and Compliance roles at both pharmaceutical and medical device companies. He has worked on a number of complex projects during this time, such as managing a deferred prosecution agreement (DPA) at a major orthopedics manufacturer, advising and managing obligations under corporate integrity agreements (CIA) and other government settlements and enforcement activities.
John has held roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of healthcare legal compliance. He worked as a Manager on the Life Sciences Fraud Investigations and Dispute Services team at Ernst & Young. He managed the CIA and other operational aspects of the Compliance program at King Pharmaceuticals (now Pfizer). He managed the DPA and CIAs at Wright Medical (now Stryker) and MicroPort Orthopedics in the role of Chief Compliance Officer. Over the last 10 years, John has helped start-up pharmaceutical companies convert from R&D to first product commercialization, serving as the VP and Head of Global Compliance at Orexigen Therapeutics and Chief Compliance Officer at TherapeuticsMD.
John received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Villanova University and his law degree from Emory University. He shares four children with his wife Tiffany.
