BioTissue Revamps Cliradex.com Website to Educate Consumers About Eye Health and Wellness

MIAMI, Fla., June 9, 2016 – BioTissue®, Inc., the industry leader in regenerative tissue therapies and ocular hygiene products for lid margin and ocular surface diseases, today launched its newly revamped patient website cliradex.com, that provides information on eye health and wellness, particularly as it pertains to blepharitis, Demodex, dry eye, and other lid margin diseases.

The website also educates patients about Cliradex®, a preservative-free, all natural lid, lash, and facial cleanser that isolates 4-Terpineol, the most important ingredient found in tea tree oil, that is clinically-proven to safely and effectively clean the skin and eradicate Demodex mites.

“Cliradex offers a paradigm shift in how I treat patients with Demodex, blepharitis and other lid margin diseases, due to its effectiveness in getting to the core of the problem,” said Neda Shamie, MD, a practicing ophthalmologist at Advanced Vision Care in Los Angeles and a specialist in corneal, cataract, and refractive surgery. “Cliradex.com helps better educate our patients on how to achieve optimal eye health through this very safe and clinically proven solution. Unlike many product websites, Cliradex.com puts all their science, publications and numerous testimonials in one location, so physicians and consumers benefit.”

The newly designed and reorganized Cliradex.com offers patients new and updated information including educational facts and blogs from leading experts on Blepharitis, Demodex and other lid margin diseases, the 4-Terpineol difference, and more.

The site also offers:

  • Video Testimonials and Tutorials – Doctor and patient testimonials on various eye and skin conditions and the results of treating with Cliradex, as well as an updated “How to Use Cliradex” patient tutorial.
  • Publications and Studies – Access to numerous clinical studies and publications, such as “The Pathogenic Role of Demodex Mites in Blepharitis” and “Terpinen-4-ol is the Most Active Ingredient of Tea Tree Oil to Kill Demodex Mites.”
  • Treatment/Order Information – Information about Cliradex, why it’s unique and effective, and access for consumers to order it directly or through their doctor.
  • Find a Cliradex Doctor – A directory that allows patients to search throughout the U.S. for a doctor in their area specializing in the treatment of lid margin diseases using Cliradex.
  • Physician Section – A new section for physicians with additional product information, and a secure portal for eye care practices to order the Cliradex.

“Eye health and wellness is important for all patients, but particularly those with lid margin diseases. If ignored, these can lead to serious problems,” said Tom Daniells, Chief Commercial Officer, BioTissue. “Our company is committed to providing innovative treatments for patients, and this website provides access to valuable information on lid margin diseases and our scientifically-proven treatment Cliradex, which is helping patients live healthy, happy lives.”
